Brands I Recommend

Over the past few years of trying to shift to a more sustainable and cruelty-free lifestyle, I have picked up certain brands that I always purchase from. There is probably more than this, but these are the ones that I pretty much always have on hand. I thought I would provide a quick list for you to give you an idea of some brands to get started with in your own shift to an eco-friendly life. All of these items are either cruelty-free or made from all natural ingredients, or both.

  • Method
  • Seventh Generation
  • Ms. Meyers
  • It’s a 10
  • Burt’s Bees
  • Nyx Cosmetics
  • Elf
  • Kiss My Face
  • Tom’s
Thrift Stores (Shopping at thrift stores is much more economical and eco-friendly than shopping straight from the brands. I don’t pay as much attention to what brands I am shopping from at thrift stores. As long as completely wearable clothing is being used, that is more environmental than only purchasing eco-friendly clothing from specific brands.)

Honestly, I do not try buying organic. I am vegetarian, and try to make majority of my diet plant-based. I focus less on the brands I am buying from and more on the ingredients I want to be eating and what is most economical. But I do have two brands I recommend buying from.

  • Quorn (This is not a vegan company. They use eggs. But as a vegetarian, I love their fake chicken products. Their products are soy-free and dairy-free, and have a much more similar taste to real meat than other brands. I highly recommend their chicken nuggets – they are out of this world. Just make sure you read the warning on the box. Their is an allergy warning.)
  • Ancient Harvest (I like to purchase their brown rice & quinoa pastas. Unlike other gluten-free pasta, this product has a very similar texture to regular pasta. I am not on a gluten-free diet but I like purchasing from this brand because this pasta is amazing and it is made from more wholesome ingredients than a box of regular whole-grain pasta.)
I am still working on building up my repertoire of eco-friendly brands, so please comment down below if you have any of your own recommendations!
